SCHOOL LEAVERS' AND STAFF DINNER

On Wednesday 5 October, students and staff shared a dinner to celebrate the end of each student's school career. Most of our students start with us in Grade 8, which makes this annual event a bitter sweet occasion.

When you're about to write your last exam as a scholar, you can afford to be young one last time.

Our ten school leavers, from left to right at the back - Jean, Kyle, Christopher, Tim, Kelly, Jared. In front - Borden, Brydie on Ethan's shoulders and Bongiwe. We wish you all much success with your big plans for next year and the years to come. We are going to miss you!

Bongiwe is planning on going into the health sciences next year. She is a dedicated and conscientious worker, and any patient in her care will be in excellent hands.

Brydie is planning on working next year, Tim will eventually be a commercial pilot and Christopher is planning on studying Equine Sciences - either here or nearer his parents in Dubai.

Jean has already started a business providing music and sound equipment for events, and will continue building his business next year.

Borden will continue working in the family business and plans to study further in the Engineering field.

We trust that Monika will continue being Monika for at least the next 166 years! As with every other event organised at school, Monika is the brains and the brawn behind the operation....

Kelly has all her arrangements in place to go the States and start working on a leisure boat.

No School Leavers' and Staff  Dinner can be complete without the Staff. Mrs Franklyn (Accounting O and A) and Mrs Stella (Maths A, Physics A, Chemistry A) share a good laugh at the table.

Sir Chris (Economics O and A and Business O and A) said that if he could do life over again, he would have chosen to become a ....... Mrs Bouwer (Maths O) and Mrs Piek (Computers O) find his choice very funny indeed!

Jared plans on serving a mission next year - is this him practising already?

Why not be a kid for as long as you can?
Ethan has been accepted at the University of Pretoria to study Engineering next year - so he might not have the opportunity to be a kid again......
